Summary

Even an invincible ninja may not be able to survive Hell’s Paradise!

Gabimaru is a ninja on death row with one chance to see his wife again—by finding the elixir of immortality on a supernatural island and delivering it to the shogun。 Standing in his way are his fellow convicts and the fearsome beasts that roam the island, devouring or killing anyone they encounter。

Rien’s master plan spells disaster for not just everyone on the island, but everyone on the mainland as well! A mission that began with a search for immortality may end with widespread death and destruction, unless the survivors on the island can somehow vanquish what remains of Lord Tensen。 Gabimaru will do anything to return to his wife in this final volume of Hell's Paradise: Jigokuraku

i could summarise this story as showcasing the power of love, connection and how it allows us to overcome the most dire circumstances and survive tragedy after tragedy。 i blasted through the last 5 volumes in a day and loved this story so much! perfect ending for my romantic sensibilities。

it is so very rare to stumble upon a manga that satisfies all my needs, is packed with as much emotion as it is with action, and on top of that is also completed。 so。 given that this IS one one of those very rare mangas, it deserves all the stars。 for making me laugh, cry, and fill my heart with glee at the end。 nothing makes me happier than knowing gabimaru and his wife lived happily ever after ♡

What a great ending to the series。 All the character's stories were wrapped up beautifully。 Especially the epilogue。 I'll miss Gabimaru, Sagiri, and Yuzuriha。 I love the themes that the story tackled。 Perhaps weakness isn't such a bad thing after all。 Something that we are supposed to embrace because it's a part of us。 I'm looking forward to the anime。 See you Hell's Paradise! 。。。more

Great story with a great ending。 The series was pretty short and fairly easy to read, however, I did get confused at some parts。 The imagery and setting on the island was both beautiful and disturbing。 Character designs were great, and Gabimaru had such intense skill power that half the time I forgot how short he actually was。Continuing with characters, I don't think there was anyone from the main cast I actually disliked, but I did find Shugen annoying at some points。 The relationship between Y Great story with a great ending。 The series was pretty short and fairly easy to read, however, I did get confused at some parts。 The imagery and setting on the island was both beautiful and disturbing。 Character designs were great, and Gabimaru had such intense skill power that half the time I forgot how short he actually was。Continuing with characters, I don't think there was anyone from the main cast I actually disliked, but I did find Shugen annoying at some points。 The relationship between Yuzuriha and Sagiri was one of my favourites, as they showed each other how much they cared for the other, in the beginning it seemed like it would end up as sagiri just tolerating yuzuriha's antics, but I'm glad it didn't。 Another relationship I liked was the dynamic between Gabi and Saigiri。 Best of all was the Aza Brothers, I love them and their bond so much。 。。。more

How did it grow back different? Or does he usually style it another way?Shugen destroyed a statue which apparently depleted his elixir enhanced Tao。 Isuzu and Kiyo died in unremarkable ways。 Tied that up neatly and with no flare。 Jikkan survived without doing anything which I kind of have to applaud。It was all just so unsatisfying。 Until chapter 127, the final final。 Chobe is alive。 He and Toma are ruling the underground of Hong Kong and fighting the colonisers like they should be。 Nurugai and her father Shion are roaming the countryside and they are happy, healthy and so soo cute。 Gentatsusai is keeping Fuchi’s spirit and dreams alive with his health clinic dojo。 Mei is living it up in the city with GUI Fa and apparently the flowers are all gonna be resurrected again。 Perhaps to lead better lives。 Gabimaru is normal now and he deserves it。 Yuji is happy and they live at home。 Sagiri and Yuzuriha visit them and it was all very cute, which is all I could ask for。 Despite beloved characters dying along the way, it was a happy ending in the end。 。。。more

。。。more

I inhaled this series- couldn’t put a single volume down。 I laughed, I cried, and I can’t think of a character that didn’t have a vice grip on my heart by the end。 I am left with the lingering bittersweet sensation that accompanies the endings of all the best stories of adventure and fellowship。 Five stars。

Who will die ? How all this going to end ? Because every time you draw a path to follow it gets crashed down。 The characters were portrayed so good, the connections between them were made well along the way, never forced and always unique in nature。 Like you’d never expect who would sacrifice their life to whom of whom would throw it all behind for someone who they may not even call as comrade。How us human are both strong and weak。 How that one does not exist without the other。 How that we write our destiny; the ways that we cross and our path。 I loved this manga so much, it was perfect and the ending was just PERFECT well made; I swear to god good for me that I stumbled upon this one。 Couldn’t find better and truly just truly this author is amazing。 I’d say more but then I’ll have to add it under spoilers and I really wish people would see my comment and go on and read this amazing manga, so please do recommend it to your friends ❤️ 。。。more

Hell’s paradise was a riddle journey。 Especially because I wasn’t that interested in a good chunk of it, like the lore, villains, the twists and explanations。 However, these last chapters really brought me joy。 Joy to see this characters, who I felt in love as the story progressed, getting a happy ending despite everything。 So。。。yeah, it wasn’t a perfect story, but the end paid off。
